IS LOVE STILL A VALUE ?

Maybe I really was ill and old-fashionly educated. Maybe modern ways forgetting about values deeply stuck in our culture, such as love. But those are othersīconsiderations, absolutely not mine. I have carefully thought about it and come to the only conclusion I have been able to: Love is still the one and only feeling capable of moving the world ahead. Our whole civilization, its history, is full of details on human behaviour leading us to this. Whenever oneīs lost the rest of values, say money, position, things, even ownīs appreciation, Love emerges as a real saviour and helps to get over. I have myself experienced this phenomenon a couple of times, but thatīs not the point. I have also seen others, many others, throughout my life recovering from really bad personal and social situations thanks to a new love feeling. But what I strongly claim here is against society. Love is undoubtedly the most important value, however society does not recognize it at all. Except for some religious theories at churches (love considered as a general expression, not the individual coupling love I am mainly thinking of now, though I do not want to disregard valuable religious or philosophical concepts at all) it is widely spread the idea that individualism is highly profitable, largely much more that love is. Maybe the search of earthly goods and more easily acquaintable values (fame, position, social recognition) is the message nowadays launched by governments, organizations and communication media. I consider that utterly wrong. Older concepts worked firmlier and steadier, as history has demonstrated consistently too many times. I think love will work its way through this mess and succeed anyway. At least, it has worked in my case. I can only hope it will work in yours too.
