Combine sauce with 3/4 lb (375g) fettucine, cooked.

Microwave Method: Melt butter in a 3 qt (3L) microwave safe casserole dish on High (100% power), uncovered, for 1 minute. Stir in flour and cook 1 min High uncovered. Whisk in milk and cream. Cook 4 to 5 minutes on High, uncovered, stirring every 2 minutes. Whisk in salt, pepper, nutmeg, cayenne and cream cheese. Cook 1 minute on High, uncovered. Stir in parmesan.
