Chapter 3
A new ally arrives

Ken-Kal the wolf and his imposter Nerissa watched the Ronin Warriors leave the Koji manor. That meant Niana was alone with that Koji brat. This was going to be quite simple.

Ken-Kal and Imposter Nerissa silently crept through the forest towards the back of the manor. They were about to jump up onto a ledge when a car screeched around the house. Ken-Kal and imposter Nerissa jumped back into the bushes. Ken-Kal cursed even more when he saw the one woman who knew so much about the Ninja�s Lady Kayura get out of the car and go into the house.

Ken-Kal and Nerissa turned around and silently trudged back to where the Ninja�s were camped. She let loose a stream of curses. Getting to Niana was not going to be so simple. Not if Kayura, the Warlords and Ronin�s were all guarding her. And if the reported sightings of Lady Marie and Lady Anett were true, then Ken-Kal and Nerissa were going to have to find some way for the Ninja�s to give their full trust to her.

They climbed up on the ledge overlooking the valley the Ninja�s and enslaved Lady Warriors inhabited for the moment. The Ninja�s eventually were going to have to give his Nerissa trust. Because Niana was going to give his Nerissa her armor then die.

�Mia? Mee-ah!� Kayura yelled into the house. She walked into the living room and looked around. �I�m getting on your computer Mia!� Kayura called.

Mia came rushing down the stairs, hair halfway up and one shoe on. Kayura began to laugh as she saw the state her friend was in. Mia just fumed.

�That was not funny,� Mia pouted as she started back upstairs. �Give me five more minutes and then we�ll be ready to go. Emmy�s up here trying to find something of mine that fits but looks good.�

Kayura followed Mia upstairs and into her bedroom where they found Emmy wearing a very cute sundress that matched her eyes perfectly. �So what do we think?� Emmy asked. Then she noticed Kayura. �Oh you�.Kay�something. Right? I can�t remember. Sorry,� Emmy apologized.

�Kayura,� Kayura replied and grinned. �Mia called and said you were going shopping and I just had to come along. So we ready?� Emmy and Mia nodded and hurried downstairs and out to Kayura�s car.

It took twenty minutes to get to the mall. As soon as they got there Mia and Kayura went all out to get Emmy some good looking clothes she could wear. Emmy helped pick out some of them but finally after four hours and over fifty bags of clothes they decided they had enough.

Kayura took Mia and Emmy back home where the girls went sat down and ate lunch. �So Emmy,� Kayura started, �You doing okay?�

Emmy nodded and sighed. �There�s nothing I can do about this. I mean, sure it hurts and all, but I have to go on with my life. Besides, I�m making new friends again. At least I�m allowed to consider you guys friends right? Even though you are four years older than me?�

Mia and Kayura both just looked at each other. �Of course. We both have to live with boys and a girl friend would be nice even if she is in High school,� Kayura said. Then she winked. �This is a perfect afternoon for ��
The phone ringing interrupted Kayura. Mia picked it up. Kayura looked at the girl who was staring out the window. A look of peace was on her face.

�Okay, Thank you. Bye,� Mia said and hung up the phone. She looked at Kayura and motioned towards the living room. They left the girl staring out the window.

�What is it Mia?� Kayura asked.

�Yuli. He�s in the hospital again. His heart isn�t doing too well. His parents say he was asking for Sage. They don�t think he�ll live through the week.

Kayura looked down. �We should go visit him. We�ll leave the guys a note.�

Emmy came into the room. She blushed. �I didn�t mean to eavesdrop but who is Yuli?�

�Yuli is a boy who is a few years younger than you but has been well friends with us ever since Tulpa tried to conquer Earth,� Mia explained.

Emmy was about to respond when a big palace flashed in her vision. Kayura, Anubis, Cale, Sekhmet and Dais were all standing around a very large and armored figure. Their eyes were so cold. Emmy shivered. �Serve Tulpa,� they commanded.

�Emmy?� Kayura asked. She touched the girls arm. Emmy jerked back then bowed her head.

�I�m sorry. I just�� a tear slipped down her cheek. She hurriedly wiped it away. �Why now are they returning? Why didn�t they stop?�

�What are returning?� Mia questioned.

Emmy began to shiver. She wrapped her arms around herself. �The flashes. I�ll be standing doing something and then I�ll get something like a flashback, only I don�t ever remember doing anything I see in the flashbacks. And just now I saw a palace and you Kayura, Anubis, Dais, Sekhmet and Cale all standing around a large armored�thing and you all had cold eyes. Very cold eyes. And you were saying �Serve Tulpa�. Why are these returning? I haven�t had any of these since two years ago,� Emmy said as another tear slipped down her cheek. She shivered more. �I�m so cold. The eyes are always so cold. Full of hate and destruction.� Emmy looked down at the floor.

Mia wrapped her arms around the girl. �Oh Emmy,� she soothed as Emmy began to cry. After a little while she pulled back. �Now would you like to meet Yuli? I�m sure he�d think a cute girl like you were an angel from heaven so lets go,� Mia said.

Emmy ran upstairs to get a sweatshirt while Mia wrote a note to the guys and Kayura called the Warlords. Emmy came back downstairs and they got in the car.

The drive to the hospital was uneventful. They hurried to Yuli�s room. Emmy stood back a little as the two older women hurried in the room and began to ask him all kinds of questions.

Emmy stood against the wall. �Who is she?� he asked. Emmy looked at him and smiled. He was rather cute and reminded her of an old boy that she would torture in school. �I�m Emmy,� she introduced smiling sweetly.

�I�m Yuli. Mia you never told me you had a sister,� Yuli said.

Mia, Emmy and Kayura laughed. �I�m not Mia�s sister. I just sort of appeared in the forest one night and poor Mia decided to take me in.�

�That�s not quite the story I remember,� Someone commented from Emmy. Emmy turned to look right at Dais. �I remember you were whoring off the side of the road and the guys picked you up only to realize you were more trouble than you were worth.�

Emmy glared him down. �I guess only a true gigolo like yourself would know what kind of stuff a girl like me would do, right?� she asked.

�Hey Dais you�ve finally found someone who knows what you are right off the bat,� Anubis commented coming up beside his friend. Emmy felt a chill run through her as she saw the red haired man. She unconsciously moved over by Mia.

Anubis noticed this and raised an eyebrow. �Do I frighten you Emmy?� he questioned.

Emmy swallowed. �Well, it�s not that, it�s just��

�SEE WE MADE IT!!� Kento exclaimed coming into the hospital room sweaty and out of breath. The other Ronin�s were right behind him. Emmy didn�t see how they were all going to fit into that hospital room, so she squeezed past the others quietly and made her way outside.

She walked down the hall humming quietly to herself. She found a sofa and sat down on it. Leaning back she closed her eyes and let out a sigh.

�Tired?� Someone asked. Emmy opened one eye and saw Cye sit down next to her.

�Hi Cye. Yes I�m tired. You would be too after shopping with Mia and Kayura. I thought only Halen and Marissa could shop like that but Mia and Kayura outdid them both. I seriously don�t think they bought me enough clothes,� Emmy said closing her eye and adjusting herself.

Cye let out a small laugh. It was quiet for a while, about thirty seconds to be exact, before Cye asked her another question. �Why did you leave the hospital room?�

Emmy made a face. �I don�t know,� she lied. She sure hoped he took that for an answer.

�That�s not true,� he replied. �Why did you really?�

Damn, Emmy thought. He�s insightful. Then she pinched herself, hard enough so that it left a mark. �What did you do that for?� Cye asked.

Emmy didn�t answer. She all of a sudden saw a man standing in front of her. He was tall with white hair and wore a hat that hid his face. He had the gentle air about him and made her feel relaxed.

�Niana why have you come to Earth? Earth does not need this terror,� he said in a kind voice. Emmy jerked, but the vision didn�t fade. �This was not entirely your fault I see, but in any case your powers could destroy Earth and I cannot allow that. Hand me the orb that contains your Chaotic power.�

Emmy handed over a small purple orb that he took and placed in his tunic. �Now Niana, your memories will be erased and you will have to grow again. Maybe you will think better of the mistakes you have made. Then you will be a better leader of the Ninja�s.� Emmy again jerked.

�Don�t be afraid I will be there in your dreams helping you,� he said before the vision disappeared.

Emmy found herself lying in Cye�s lap. She blinked. �Wha?� she asked.

�Are you okay? You just passed out.� Cye�s eyes shone with worry.

Emmy sat up and rubbed her head. �I�m fine. I�m just�� she trailed off again as she saw Anubis coming towards them. A chill went down her spine. She felt the blood drain away from her face.

�What�s the matter Emmy?� Cye asked.

�Anubis�I tried to kill him,� she mumbled closing her eyes trying to block out the nightmare that had returned in full force. Please go away Anubis. Please just go away. I didn�t mean to I was wrong. Forgive me now go away. Emmy silently begged.

�What is wrong dear Emmy?� he asked.

Emmy swallowed. �Nothing. Just tired and�nothing. It�s nothing,� she lied and stood up. �I�m going to the cafeteria.� With that she walked off towards the stairs.

Emmy silently prayed they wouldn�t follow her. She didn�t feel the need to experience that flashback again. She thought of a couple nice words to say to the flashbacks. Funny thing was she never remembered the flashbacks being that real and that long. It was so odd.

Instead of going to the cafeteria, Emmy walked outside. She sat on one of the benches right by the main entrance just in case the boys came looking for her. She sighed and watched cars pull in and out of the parking lot.

A small meowing sound caught her attention. She turned and saw a small black cat. �Hello there,� she said. He came and jumped up on the bench beside her. It was then she noticed he had something in his mouth �What�s this?�

Emmy reached and grabbed the orb out of his mouth. It looked exactly like the purple orb she had given that white haired man. Emmy gasped. �This is��

The cat looked up at her. Emmy swore it was smiling. �Your Orb of Chaos. It contains your power and your armor.� Emmy was frozen with terror.

�Talking cat,� she squeaked.

�Talking Shadow,� he replied.

Emmy laughed. �What so you have a name? I�m sure you probably know a wolf and a �what was her name�Nerissa?� She looked at Shadow.

Shadow just stretched and yawned like there was no tomorrow. �Nerissa is your sister Niana. I mean Emmy. You haven�t fully regained your memories yet. To start off, I am your pet. I used to help you in battles way back a long time ago. That was when I had the power of all three armors to support me and I was larger. Remember? I have the ability to become invisible and I could help you,� the cat explained.

Emmy just stared. �Oh no. This is so not happening. It�s official. I�ve gone over the deep end. I�m a certified lunatic. It makes even more official since I�m actually talking to you. This is so stupid. I mean that wolf probably just told you to come get me since he gets his butt kicked when he tries to come after me.�

Shadow stopped stretching and laid down. �Actually, I haven�t been in contact with Nerissa since you left. She disappeared for a time and came back very different. With a pet named Ken-Kal. Actually it wasn�t your sister at all because she didn�t use her own armor of Vengeance. Apparently she didn�t recognize your brother Mic either. Mic disguised himself immediately as a Ninja and stopped using his armor. It was then I shrunk to this size. I�ve been waiting with him, though. That way we could go and take back leadership over the Ninja�s.�

Emmy stood up. �The Ninja�s. I�ve been having flashbacks about them. Are there really Ninja�s and did someone named Tulpa try to overthrow me?� she questioned looking squarely at the cat.

Shadow sat up. �He wasn�t the only one. Lots of people wanted the Ninja�s to serve them but you being the leader always fought for their rights. You were always anti-slavery,� he said and winked. Emmy shook her head.

�So how did I��

�There you are Emmy!� Ryo exclaimed. He ran over to her. Shadow arched his back and let out a hiss.

�You quit it. He�s a friend,� Emmy scolded. Immediately Shadow stopped and jumped up into the girls arms.

�You make a friend Emmy?� Ryo questioned looking suspiciously at the small cat. Emmy grinned and scratched the soft head.

�His name is Shadow. I found him and since he doesn�t look like he belongs to anybody I�m going to keep him,� she explained.

~Oh excellent little comeback, Emmy. You do realize he owns a very large kitty.~ Shadow spoke telepathically to her. Emmy bit her bottom lip.

�What about White Blaze?� Ryo wondered.

Emmy put the cat out in front of her. �He�s a good kitty. He won�t mind White Blaze. Will you Shadow?� The cat just meowed.

~You act just like your old self. It�s amazing you can�t remember anything.~

�We ready to go?� Emmy asked Ryo seeing the rest of the group coming out of the hospital. She felt another chill go down her spine as she saw Anubis and Dais.

�Cye and Anubis are right. You are scared of Anubis,� Ryo commented.

Emmy glared up at him. �I�m not scared of him. I�m just unsure about him. He�s tried to take away something that belonged to me before. Something that only I could control,� she said not fully realizing what she was saying. Shadow let a small hiss out.

Ryo just gaped down at her. �What are you talking about?�

Emmy blinked and looked down. The cement just seemed so fascinating. �Nothing. Just ignore my little outbursts,� she said and moved to join Mia and Kayura.

Ryo caught Anubis� arm. �A word?� Anubis stopped and looked at him.

�What is it?� Anubis questioned.

Ryo motioned to Emmy and Shadow. �Oh my. If I�m not mistaken that�s her Panther Shadow. He has the ability to become invisible. That�s how she won so many battles. Funny thing is he�s so small,� Anubis commented.

�What do you mean?�

Anubis pointed towards Emmy and Shadow. �Niana and Shadow may have been the youngest creatures that was around the Dynast and Ninjana and the Lady Warriors Realm but they were the best team and fighters there was. Shadow would feed off of Niana�s and two other armors. That�s how he was so large. Chaos, Destruction and Vengeance were the three armors he could use to become a large panther.

�Niana and Shadow used to battle together. Shadow would go invisible and scout out an enemies base, telepathically communicate information back to Niana and then Niana, Nerissa and he would attack and totally annihilate those who wished to destroy the Ninja�s.�

Ryo whistled softly. �Why does her sister want to conquer Earth now then?� Ryo wondered.

�That�s an excellent question. No one knows. I�ll bet if you ask Niana�s cat he�ll answer for you. But it might be wise to wait until Shadow realizes we aren�t enemies to Niana. I think that�s why he has returned to her,� Anubis explained. Ryo nodded.

�Yes, we wouldn�t want to rush into things,� Ryo said quietly as he walked over to his car.
