The Races

Many humanoid races exist within Myriad Magic. You may choose your character's race from a small pool of races. Each race has different strengths and weaknesses, most visibly reflected in the ability scores of each race, along with each race's allowed professions.

Human

Humans are a new race compared to the other demi-humans, and are so average as to be the race all others are compared to. While they may not have that many strengths and weaknesses, they are completely adaptable, and have no weak points, except for a decided lack of devotion.

Elf

Elves are intelligent and graceful, but not very robust. They mostly live in the dense forests and brushlands of Myriad Magic, preferring to live by themselves and away from civilization. They excell at intellectual pursuits, but they also perform good as warriors and rogues.

Dwarf

Rough, dour and hardy, dwarves live deep within the mountains that dot the landscape. Most dwarves are somewhat resilient, and have a strong distaste for magic. While a dwarf may be shorter than your average human, their courage, strength and loyalty more than make up for that.

Gnome

Gnomes are superb little folk who live in the misty hills and rainy mountain ranges throughout the land. They possess an inherant resilience to magic, poison, and other forms of peril. Most gnomes are very tough physically and mentally, and they may choose from the most classes out of all of the demi-humans.

Faerie

Those that inhabit the deep forests of Myriad Magic are rare sights, indeed. The faerie is the smallest and physically weakest demi-human race within Myriad Magic. While they may be frail, they possess lightning speed and a sharp intellect which help them to escape their dangers.

Lizardman

Tough and strong, lizardmen evolved in the black swamps and quagmires that compose a great majority of the southern areas of most continents. They may not be extremely bright, but the lizardmen possess devotion greater than almost any other demi-human, and thus they are able to become Lords and Priests.

Halfling

Halflings are a race of happy-go-lucky small-folk. They live in great rolling plains they term "shires". A great majority of Halflings are Thieves and Ninja, trained by one of their tight-knit clans. Unlike Gnomes and Dwarves, Halflings are very talkative and charismatic, and they are very, very lucky.

Demon: Half-Demons exist within Myriad Magic. Most half-demons are arrogant, aloof, self-centered and believe that they are better than everyone else. They view other adventurers as personal challenges or tests. While self-centered most half-demons may be, most are extremely good-natured and mean well, hating their demon side in them and wishing to be as close to their human side as possible.

Tetujin: An ancient race of robots, thought to have been created by the high-tech civilization of Melenam 5,000 years ago. With a lifespan of over 10,000 years, Tetujin live for a very long time, but their memory fades like a humans. Tetujin have picked up a large fan base among the humans and demi-humans. They were mainly built for defense and are quite capable of combat. While they may not wear any armor or wield any weaponry, their bodies function as those two roles insteead. Later on, Tetujin get access to advanced built-in programs which can help them immensely.
