Lifeforms

DANGER: Use extreme caution when dealing with hostile monsters!
Monsters can possess lethal attack forms which can severely injure or hamper your character. Such forms include neurotoxins, the ability to drain one's life force, the ability to cause others to fall asleep, and similar powers.

Monsters
Most monsters are semi-intelligent, and possess the ability to find players if they make alot of noise or otherwise give away their position. Rest assured, the bumbling fighter who yells at the top of his lungs and opens doors way too many times will get attacked many more times than the quiet rogue in the corner.
Monsters in MM come in many forms. From groups of giant wasp-like insects to solitary undead, many foul beings lurk in the bowels of the Maelstrom.
Most monsters will group together, for they know that there is strength in numbers. This makes it much harder to kill them, as all of their friends are with them to slug it out too. Adventurers are advised to do the same, lest they become yet another withered corpse in the bowels of the Maelstrom.
Monsters, being semi-intelligent, will do semi-intelligent things. If they are in a group, they will attack if they feel they have the advantage, and they will try to flee if they are obviously outmatched. Monsters with access to magic will try to aid their allies, and smite their foes.
Some monsters possess rare and unusual attack forms - such as the ability to breathe acid, drain ability scores, or even wield the Ninja's ability to cause massive critical hits! Such monsters should be feared and possibly avoided, in the name of survival and adventure.
In any case, the monsters of Myriad Magic are not to be toyed around with!
