Ms. Rood  was born in West Hills and attended Welby Way Elementary School.   She loves sunflowers, ballet, musical theater and most of all teaching!  After graduating UCLA's prestigious school of Theater, Film, and Television she spent the summer in San Diego as a member of the Moonlight  Summer reperetory Theater.  Though it was fun to be a professional actress, she missed her students and considered going back to school to get her teaching credential.  After working at Woodland Hills Elementary she knew that the classroom was where she belonged.  Currently Ms. Rood is learning how to samba, and taking yoga classes.
