Review: I really loved this movie. Not only is the story based on a Stephen King novella but it stars Johnny Depp and John Turturro, two incredibly talented actors. In this movie Johnny shows some very interesting quirks as his character. For the first half hour of the movie he does absolutely nothing, but he makes it interesting to watch him do it. Late in the movie he starts cracking his jaw. I have no idea why he does it, but it seems to fit. John Turturro is truly creepy in his role as John Shooter, the psycho dairy farmer out for justice. His calmness in dealing with Rainey, even when Rainey screams at him, is incredibly disquieting. He’s like Hannibal Lector without the cannabalism. Even when the realization comes to Shooter that it’s possible that he may be crazy, the incredible calmness remains. The style of director David Koepp was fantastic. I really couldn’t imagine the film being shot any differently. I really do recommend this movie to everyone, especially those Depp fanatics out there. Those of you that have seen it probably know why, those of you who haven’t seen it will know soon enough. ;-) I saw this movie twice at the theater and was actually planning to see it a third when they took it away. It is definitely worth the money to see, and more so worth the money to own.

Trivia: This is Johnny Depp’s thrid movie with John Turturro. John Turturro was in The Man Who Cried (Dante Dominio) and The Source (Allen Ginsberg).
