Review: This movie was a GOOD movie. You know, like one of those movies with a
message but still enjoyable. Johnny Depp is wonderful as Roux, the Irish water
gypsy. He comes into the movie nearly halfway through, but he’s worth waiting
for and oh so sexy! Another great thing about the movie is that you get to see
Johnny play his guitar, and yes, that really is him playing. Juliette Binoche
is great as Vianne, most time she calm and collected, but when she gets mad,
she gets MAD and its very cool. And when she gets sad she gets Johnny Depp, go
figure. Alfred Molina is irritating until the very end and then you can’t help
but feel sorry for him. He plays a jerk for the whole movie and he can still
inspire sympathy. This movie also has terrific music, some of it played by
Johnny Depp himself. Overall, it is a great movie.
Trivia: This is
Johnny Depp’s second movie with Lena Olin. Lena Olin was in The Ninth Gate
as Liana Telfer.
