Better
to have
no heritage at all than to have it systematically dismantled
by part-time sociologists with an O-level in architecture. The
past in Ardrossan is as long dead as the people buried in it's
walled cemetery.
In a glimpsed revelation, I realise we should be using technology
to benefit us - and not allowing it to harangue and harness.
Like a plough, a beam engine or a lighthouse on the Inchcape
Rock.
