87 CRX Si

The piece of junk that I'll car my car is my 87 CRX Si. I bought it for $200 with a blown motor. I swapped in an 88 Integra engine (D16A8), ECU,transmission, lower subframe, front swaybar, front brakes, rear beam, rear brakes. Basically I got all the cool stuff off the Integra. I got all the parts for $250. To make bucket a little faster, I installed a DC header ($85) , generic CRX intake system (Martin hooked me up), and a 2.25" exhaust with new cat & Flow-Tech Afterburner muffler. (parts/installation = $88) The Flow-Tech muffler is too raspy, even with a resonator on the A-pipe. I don't recommend it. My brother bought me the 15" Rota C8 wheels because he's a cool guy. The other thing I did was I replaced the front bumper and bumper cover with a new one from a 84-87 DX or HF. I prefer the look of the older bumper because it doesn't stick out so much, and the grille under the bumper is smaller. Now I just need to paint it. So what I got now is a pretty kickass hybrid CRX for less than $1000. Next big thing for this car is a turbosystem fabricated my me.
