Added Actron's Electric Volts, Oil pressure, and Temperature
Gauges. Have a 400 watt amp, cd player with electronic crossover, and 12 speakers
(two 3 1/2" tweaters up front, two 1" tweaters in the upper front pillars, two 5
1/4" midranges in the doors, two 6 x 9's in the back, two 10's in the
truck, and two horn tweaters in the truck.) To protect my car and all the
stuff in my car, I have a $500 car alarm. Why so
much for the alarm? I've had my car broken into twice
and on the first time they stole my Delco car stereo (no alarm at that
time but the stereo was about to break down anyways); the second time
I had the car alarm but they broke in and cut the siren wires, so when
they
opened the doors the alarm goes off, then they pop open the hood and cut
your wires. If you don't hear you alarm in the 3 to 4 seconds in which it
goes off then they try to take your stuff. Lucky for me I was going to my
car at the time and they ran off. So the next day I got a pager system
added to my car so when I go somewhere, the pager will go off. Also if
you get an alarm make sure it has some sort of a starter kill device. I've
seen cars being driven off with the alarm going off. So with my alarm
system with starter kill and a pager, I thought I had all the security I
needed....Well I don't know if it's me or what but one day I went to get
gas for my car and I had the t-tops off. I went to go pay when I forgot
my wallet, so I turned around and the next thing I saw was this guy trying
to steal my radar detector. Since I had my t-tops off the alarm didn't go
off because he didn't open the doors. He jumped in his car and took
off...I would have chased him but I didn't pay for my gas yet and he
didn't get my radar detector off. So back to the alarm store and
I got a motion sensor for the inside and since I had some extra money I
got a talking alarm adapter. The talking alarm adapter is pretty cool.
It says,"system armed" in a
female voice, "alarm deactivated" in a male
voice, and "security, please step away" in
another males voice
when you put your
hand in the car. After all this you think a person would be safe right,
nope...after about three months...somebody tried to steal my rims...but
I had lock nuts on my car so they were unsuccesful. So what's the moral
of this story...GET AN ALARM SYSTEM...
