A Geldard & Sons

Trading as Bigfoot Buses, Geldards began commercial services on three routes into Leeds on the 6 November 1995, using a fleet of
Leyland Nationals painted in a distinctive yellow and black livery with large footprints "Bigfoot" to the rear of each bus. Initially Almex tickets were issued but were replaced by Wayfarers complete with Bigfoot
logos.

Geldards had been previously a minibus and coach operator based above a fruit and veg shop in Armley and still is but the fleet is garaged and maintained at the former Taylors Coaches garage on the Whitehall Road Industrial Estate.

Fleet modernisation came in the shape of Ikarus and Northern
Counties DAF SB220's which ran in overall white with Bigfoot fleet names and a new low floor East Lancs Flyte Scania L113 complete with cherished registration  P2 BFB, this however didn't last long it was reregistered and sold to Black Prince of Morley.

At the of August 1998 Geldards decided to withdraw its bus operations and concentrate on its coaching and private hire work, the bus
services were taken over by K-Line / Taylors no vehicles were involved in the takeover of the services.

Several school contracts are operated and these enabled several Metrobuses to be purchased (see fleetlist
) from London General and Go-Ahead, they are still in there former operators livery but have fixed destination screens fitted "School Special", all have been converted to single door layout. The Leyland Nationals still play an active part in the fleet but have had a revised Livery applied of yellow and blue although no bigfoot name now appears on the sides they are still a familiar sight in Leeds.
