The Railroad's Function



This railroad is a subsidiary of the Heartland Ohio RR. It essentially functions as a passenger service between Louisville, KY and Heartland City and also between Heartland City and Bluffton, OH. Two other functions of this railroad are to manage the Oreland mining complex and maintain an interchange with several Eastern railroads:

Chesapeake and Ohio
Baltimore and Ohio
Pennsylvania
New York Central




Regional Location of the Heartland Rocket



This railroad is located fictionally in an area about 50 miles East of Cincinnati, OH and goes eastward along the Ohio river for about 75 miles. Its western terminal point is Bluffton while its eastern terminal point is Heartland City. The towns being served by the HO from Bluffton to Heartland city are Easton Coal mines, Midland, Weston Steel Works, Bavaria, and Oreland.
