Jerry Wong's
World of Hong Kong Buses (fun!)
Bus Tour:
In the summer of 1996, one day I was working in my office, I began to think about some bus tours in Hong Kong. (Please feel free to tell my boss, as I quited already!) Also, I met Mr. Wilson Lui, who designed several bus tours for Hong Kong. However, with my passion of air-conditioned buses, I sacrificed many interesting routes in place of comfort. So without futher due, please enjoy the following bus tour, and I hope you can provide me with some comment or feedback.
Super Bus Tour of Hong Kong--All Tunnel Route (A/C only!) Special
A21--182--88R--12A--12M--90B--99--85--118--603--E22--S64--E31--278X--902R/276/276P--969--6A/
6X/260--6--104--296D--298--216M--215X.
*Since I live in Tsim Sha Tsui, I begin my tour with A21, though you may choose other alternatives and board on the bus any point along the tour. (Despite the fact A21 is relatively expensive, at least you pay sectional fare and have a taste of Airport Coach. More importantly, it's the only full A/C bus route from my home in Tsim Sha Tsui to Hung Hom KCR beside Green Minibus.)

My Neighbourhood Bus Routes:
I live around Austin Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, which by no means being one of the most convenient places for traveling on buses in Hong Kong. Given the following parameters, I have over 100 routes serving my neighbourhood,
My definition of neighbourhood/parameter:
East: KCR Kowloon Station/Cross Harbour Tunnel Toll Plaze/Chatham Road South
South: Kimberley Road
West: Jordan Road
North: Gascoigne Road
Hence, I have the following routes to choose from for traveling around Hong Kong:
A21, A22, B1, E23, 1, 1A, 2, 2C, 2E, 3C, 5, 5A, 5C, 6, 6A, 6C, 7, 8, 8A, 9, 11, 11K, 11X, 12, 13X, 14, 21, 26, 28, 30X, 35A, 36B, 41A, 42A, 46, 60X, 63X, 68X, 69P, 69X, 70, 70S, 81, 81C, 81P, 87D, 87X, 93K, 95, 98D, 203, 203E, 208, 212, 215X, 219P, 219X, 224X, 230X, 234X, 238X, 237A, 242X, 252B, 257B, 258B, 258C, 259B, 259C, 260B, 261B, 267S, 269B, 270A, 271, 280P, 281P, 287P, 296D, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105A, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 115, 116, 118, 170, 171, 182, 301, 336, 970, 79R, 904R, N6, N216, N241, N271, N281, N118, N121, N122, N170, N171, N89R, N904R.
Given all these routes, I can go to most districts in Hong Kong directly, as Sai Kung and Repulse Bay being the exceptions. (Tseung Kwan O is not part of Sai Kung in my consideration)
Otherwise, the intersection of Nathan Road and Gascoigne Road provides one of the best places to capture bus photos of different routes.
Note: I only included bus routes which provide service daily, other special routes, such as race course and holiday specials, were purposely NOT included.
On the other hand, I think another convenient place for taking buses in Hong Kong is Admiralty, which is served by the following routes:
M21, 1, 2, 4X, 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5X, 6, 6A, 6X, 8X, 10, 11, 12A, 12M, 15, 18, 23, 23A, 23B, 25, 26, 37A, 37B, 40, 40M, 43, 43X, 47A, 61, 64, 66, 70, 70M, 75, 88, 90, 90B, 90C, 94X, 97, 260, 262, 511, 590, 720, 722, 780, 781, 788, 789, 101, 103, 104, 105A, 109, 111, 113, 115, 182, 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 307, 309, 336, 373, 601, 603, 619, 621, 641, 680, 681, 690, 691, 693, 905, 914, 930, 934, 935, 948, 960, 961, 968, 969, A11, A12, N8X, N90, N590, N121, N680, 88R, 89R, 90R, 97R, 925R, N89R.
Special thanks to Mr. Ricky Chan who assisted me for the above route information.
Note: I only included bus routes which provide service daily, other special routes, such as race course and holiday specials, were purposely NOT included.
