We met near Bern, at 10.00 am , on October 2nd 1999
Weather was godd: sunny and warmy
We were 9 barchetta: 6 swiss, 1 french and 2 italian
(Stefano Lavazza and me)
11 (eleven) people and a dog
(our mascotte,
Pepe, the little Westhighlands Terrier of Marlis
- see
him when he was 2 months old)
4 women (3 driving) and 7 guys (1/3 of cars droven
by girls !!!!!!!)
Then we went to Grimsel Pass, via Thun, Interlaken, Meiringen
Climbing (sic!) Grimsel, sky became grey, then dark grey and temperature felt down
On the top (2165 m) we stopped, we had a look at the landscape,
we changed dresses, as it was windy, too, and really cold, and always top
down, we went down, and up (14%), to Furka Pass (2431 m), where we had
lunch
(as we were only few people, and meeting was unofficial,
everyone paid for him/herslef)
After, we went to Luzern
At a gas station we met a "really new" barchetta (377 km only), coming from cremona, where Jason Pook bought from Luigi Carulli
On the highway to Luzern, we had a lot of fun, passing and passing again each other, making noise in the tunnels and so on (You know !!!!)
While we were near an highway entrance, we saw a yellow
Ferrari 360 Modena, entering: driver was friendly and nice and he stayed
in line with us for some km, waving us, passing us, one after the other,
letting us listen noise (music!!!!) of his engine and of his exhausts !!!!!!!!!!!!!
:-))
Simone told us she organised even that meeting, but,
well ...., I don't know if to believe or not !!! :-)
In Luzern we parked, we walked along the lake and on the
wooden bridge.
Simone offered us a refreshment and, for thanking, we
decided to elect her the "unofficial president of the unofficial Swiss
barchetta Club" , with a standing ovation when she paid the bill !!!!!
Then meeting ended, and we all went home
Looking for higway entrance, in Luzern, Stefano and me
were flashed by a fixed police camera, as we were driving 70/80 km/h (slow
speed in italian town !!)
ON OUR PERSONAL OPINION WE WILL HAVE 2 PHOTO MORE, FOR
THE WEB SITE !!!!! :-))
