Here's a race report from Kirk Doyle WSMC#602 on his first Novice race===> "I was very satisfied with first novice race. I got smoked by a TZ250 an RS125 and one of those damn FZR's (it looked really built!). I don't mind being beat by purpose built GP bikes but i didn't like seeing that FZR ahead. There were two other twins in the race, an EX and GS. Both of them looked real nice, but the only time I saw them was at the start. From what I was told they were way behind. A fourth place finish is OK but I was real happy with my times ... Mandy (Chips girlfriend) had me timed consistently in 1:40 - 1:41's. With chip running 1:35's in Mod Prod and being the class of the field by a few seconds I will be real competative with the rest of the group when i get out of novice. With more experience and some suspension work I think I can work my way up to near the front of the pack".
