Alcatraz, The Hard Way
The one real touristy thing we did this time was a tour of Alcatraz. "An Evening on Alcatraz". We always spend a lot of time hanging out in North Beach, at the coffeehouses, bookstores, and at Washington Square Park. We decided to walk from North Beach by taking the Filbert Street Steps up to Coit Tower, then down to the Fisherman's Wharf area. The views were awesome, but it is quite a hike.
