The recently purchased KTM of Don Babb Modesto California has been motarded with the addition of Akront rims and Pirelli tires. A 38 tooth dampner type sprocket mounts to the rear and a KTM supplied rotor and caliper provide stopping power. All 3 items for the modest price of $500 US. An Acerbis taillight and dual front headlight / number plate take care of the semi-street legalities. Suspension has been lowered 4 inches in front and approx 3 in the rear. The changes have resulted in a steering head angle of close to 25 degrees from the stock 27.5 degrees. The rear shock has been upgraded to an Ohlins unit and an FMF pipe and jetting are in the works. Immediate plans are to participate in a couple of the STTARS supermoto races at Buttonwillow and Willow Springs California.
