XJ Series Jaguar

V12 powered XJs could lay a strong claim to being the best cars in the world in 1972.

The greatest advance of the XJ series was in the chassis engineering, which endowed it with hitherto unknown handling prowess for a saloon car.

All XJs had an impressively luxurios interior. Although leather was now an option on most models, there was still wood veneer and plenty of standard equipment. Automatics were more popular than manuals.
