The 220s sedan was the third of the new Mercedes models shown to the public at the Frankfurt Show in 1956. It was also the most powerfull and the most expensive. The 2,195 cc straight six engine developed 100 horsepower. 4 The Merc pictured above was used in the Wimbledon Pre-68 meeting and quite rightly earned its owner a 'Best Car' trophy.
