We woke up at 10:30 and with an 11:00 checkout, we called for a late checkout. They were gracious and gave us until 1:00, so we slept until 12:30. We packed up quickly and headed downstairs to the bike. Walking outside was shocking it was 105 degrees in the shade! There was no way we would have made it more than 15 minutes on the bike, so we decided to stay and play.
We tried roulette again and, let's just say, it didn't go well. A bit discouraged we decided we should try another casino. Walking down the strip, we kept looking for a pai gow table, but to no avail. It was a great tour of the strip and a good two-hour walk. Finally, we found, at least, a $1 blackjack table. The people there were fun and we had a great time playing we even won.
It was really tough to leave. Not only were we having a good time, but also we really didn't want to go home. At 11pm, we were back on the bike. It was still over 100 degrees, but at least the sun was down.
The ride was straight, but cool and the stars were incredible! We rode about a hundred miles to the town of Beatty. There was a 24hr casino and motel. We stopped for coffee and decided to stay for the night. It meant that the next day would be around 500 miles, but we just weren't sure we could find a motel open past 2am if we went any further. The room was modest and we fell asleep in an instant.
