Thursday morning right now. We are right on a lake, in another gorgeous State Park $13 campsite (Carter Lake Campground, I think). The fog rolled in off the coast last night, and there is a layer of fog rolling over the lake, and a slight mist in the air.

To recap yesterday

The Oregon coast, while stunningly beautiful, is not quite what I expected. This far, at least. So far, its basically freeway, no twisties... A few good sweepers, but not much. Basically a scenic drive. Which was fine, as its summer, and there are more motorhomes out (not to mention logging trucks) than I've ever seen in one day. We made a rule that we would stop at every scenic outlook, but there is no way. They are every 200 yards or so along the coast :-). We have seen a lot of bikes though, almost all BMWs. The occasional Gold Wing with trailer, and a few Harleys. No other Concours though

We stopped at a deli in Bandon and picked up a sandwich, and some snacks, then stopped at a picnic area overlooking the beach a few miles down the road for lunch. I think we will do that more in the future, it worked out really well.

When we pulled into camp (at about 5pm), there was some firewood left over from someone else, so janet and I made a fire. We are a good team. We roasted hot dogs, and drank cheap beer out of cans (havent done that in a while) till it was time for bed.
