Here Andre slides to a stop, minus his Penske's nose and two left side wheels.

Andre begins to climb out of his car, when he suddenly stops. 

The CART Safety Team arrives on the scene.  It appeared that Andre had an injury to his feet.

The session was red-flagged as debris covered the Carousel.

This bent up wheel provides some evidence as to just how hard Andre hit the bridge.

Andre is strapped on the stretcher and is wheeled into the ambulance.  It's tough to see but he has a brace on his left foot.

The left side of his Penske tells a little more of the story of what transpired.

A few hours later, Andre is back in the paddock sporting a cast on his left foot.  Here he is about to check out his T-car to see if he is fit to drive in the race.  He ended up skipping second round qualifying on Saturday.  I don't recall seeing him in the Sunday morning warm-up either.  He did start the race, but stopped on circuit before 1/2 way with a mechanical problem.
