Welcome to the
Sunshine State

The Florida West Coast Region extends a cordial invitation to join us for the 1988 Winter National Meet at The Pier in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg is a beautiful city of 240,000 people (fourth largest city in Florida) with Tampa Bay on its east coast and the Gulf of Mexico on its west coast.  The average high temperature for February is 70 degrees, the lowest is 50 degrees, and the water temperature is at 65 degrees.  The greater St. Petersburg area attracts over four million visitors annually and , in addition, there are numerous attractions close by, such as Bush Gardens, Cypress Gardens, Sea World, Disney World, EPCOT Center, and many glorious beaches.
While ar The Pier, you may wish to visit the H.M.S. Bounty which is docked there.  Take a museum stroll along the downtown waterfront and visit  the Salvador Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Florida International Museum, featuring  the Titanic Exhibit, and  the Museum of History.  Plus there are many fine shops and antique shops along Beach Drive.
The host hotel, St. Petersburg Bayfront Hilton, is only three blocks from the show field.  There will be a shuttle to and from the RV parking, host hotel, and the show field.
There will be a shuttle for the judges from the Judge's Breakfast  to the show field on Saturday.
Remember, this is  peak tourist season!  The week prior is the Grand Prix in St. Petersburg and the fourth annual Harley-Davidson Show on The Pier.  The week following is the debut of our new baseball team- The Devil Rays, so early registration is a must!!
