.
Dear Fellow Members,

I was happy to see a nice group at our new meeting place.  In spite of the weather,  we had a good turn out.  As those who were there will tell you it is a very nice facility. I hope our October meeting will find our part year members back and ready to go for our annual Gulfport Show.

We had a very productive meeting and voted for some nice  suprises for our members.  We elected all our officers, with the exception of secretary, for the 1999 year.  We are still in need of a person to fill that position. We will elect a secretary at our October meeting.

Those of you that can please help distribute Gulfport Show flyers at any meets you may be attending.  If you need flyers please let Lois Blackard, Show Chair, or myself know.

We plan on having a great time at our Spaghetti Supper on the Friday evening before the show.  Marjirie Mills still needs help in the kitchen and of coarse you may sign up at the October meeting to bring a desert item to finish off our meal,  If you are new to our club plan to come out and have a good time.  You don’t want to miss it.
Happy Motoring
Frank

We Need a Secretary! We Need You!

Our roster of officers for 1999 is complete except for the position of secretary. We need a man or woman to step up and volunteer.

The job consists of these things:
 1) Sending National the names and addresses of the officers in January,
 2) Attending one or more board meetings, and
 3) Taking the minutes at the business meetings and sending them to the      editor.

(There are no business meetings in August, November, and December.)

Our second option is for two members to agree to divide the note-taking, perhaps having a winter resident take the winter months. Or the two could alternate meetings as their schedules permit.

Please say you’ll do it! Call Arnold Goldfoot at (727) 522-9924 before October 12. We need to elect officers at the October meeting.

Looking for a chauffeured antique car for wedding in St. Pete.
I am planning a wedding in ST. Petersburg in May of 1999 and am  looking for an antique car in which to travel from the church to the  Museum of Fine Arts and then to the Vinoy, probably less than a mile or  two all told.  I was unable to find any antique car dealers/restorers in the  area  who knew where I might find a person with  an antique car willing  to chauffeur (more likely) or rent (I wouldn’t rent a beautifully restored  auto either) such a car for an evening next May.
Hence my question to you; do you know of any club members (or anyone  else in the area) who fits the bill?  Any assistance would be greatly  appreciated.

Thank You for your time.                Ethan Adams Goddard
