I had a BSA B40 SS90 1964-69 and I am looking to replace it with a simular bike. I think the idea of an internet BSA site deserves to do well, I hope it is a big success.

I am into that part of life (almost 70) and with some health issues compelling me to find a home for my BSA Rocket3. The bike is located in Modesto, California, in my Brother's garage where it can be seen, started, ridden, inspected, etc.
My brother is working at getting some photos.
If there is interest out there, I will be happy to supply more details, desired price, and so on.
I have ridden bikes for 50 years, GoldStar500, A10
Super Rocket, Matchless 500 twin (1952), Triumph 650 ('56), BMW K100RS (sorry). And I would love to get involved with what you are starting to do here. I think it's great and I wish you all the very best. My involvement has to be "vicarious" from here on.
Hope to hear from some one about the A75.

I got the fever from my dad. He owned BSAs up until the early '80s. I was with him when he bought a "68" A65L from Ghost Motorcycle in Port Washington, NY in Feb, 1970. I now own the bike and it's really a '67. Stick to the engine/frame serial numbers for
dating your bike. Has anyone converted to 12V on the Magneto/generator bikes? I have found a few articles on the subject but need more comprehensive instruction to make sure I dont mess it up. Your help would be appreciated.

I'm back on a BSA after 25 years on 4 wheels, and doing a ground up rebuild (and upgrade where necessary, eg electrics etc) to my '70 Lightning. The internet has been one of the best things to happen to bikers, its good to be able to find spares at value
rices and not be at the mercy of local dealers price control(and I don't aim that remark at anyone in particular). If anything is going to help the older bikes survive, this is it.
See you on the road!

I first owned a 56 Ariel Red Hunter 500SC in 59 & 60. Bought a new 60 A10 Spitfire in 61 & raced it at TT tracks during 62 & 63. During its day their was nothing quicker on accelleration. Also owned and raced a 62 Triumph T100C on quarter mile flattracks
and TT tracks during 62, 63 & 64. Enjoyed the heck out of both of these machines. Bought a new 62 A10 Road Rocket in 1962 which I seldom ever rode--but had to have it because it was the best looking motorcycle I had ever seen. My 69 A65 Firebird Scramble
is all original and has been ridden a mere 5300 miles in its lifetime. I have set it up to look like a Road Rocket but still have all the original parts--exhaust system, gas tank, side covers, etc. Also have a 70 Triumph T100C in completely stock conditi
n. Of course, both bikes have all original matching numbers. I love Brit Iron.

Comments: Great idea for a site, the more BSA's the merrier.
It's a long story but I am finally rebuilding this Bantam special which I was told was raced(scrambles) by a Mr. Dave Allen in England. It is basically a D1 plunger, modified head angle and braced, original steel wheels. The bike was not very pretty but e
erything was painted black, even the wheels, which kept the rust at bay.
The crankcases are stuffed, the conrod gound oval and a machined-from-solid cylinder head fitted, inlet stub welded on and concentric carb fitted..should be a screamer. I have not fired it up yet so that should be exciting. All the home brew parts are sta
ped "DABSA", does anyone know anything about Mr. Allen and his bike?

Welcome to the new born BSA site.
The baby is still very young but will, I'm sure, get Big and Healthy.
I like this idea of a WW unified site.
If you mind my vision, I would forsee the following items:
- Spares cross classified by country/region and bike,
- Pictures,
- Documentations classified (or links to them),
- History of each model according to each countries (colors, mudguard types, years, specs, options...)
- Chatt area,
- Events (jumbles, meetings, ...),
- etc.
I know this is a lot. I know it'll take time. But, this is what you are facing at if you don't want to be just an other BSA site.
I'm ready to share the few I have got in terms of documentations. I can scan and OCR them. I can eventually give pictures of my oldies. If my help can be of use, we can discuss it.
Once again I wish you all the best for your nice project.
I look forward reading you.

' nice web page. I usually get tech info from the Brit-Iron list, but this is one site I'll re-visit from time to time.

Geocities gives you a "word from one of out sponsors" and a black page every time you change screens. I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but it happens to me on any Geocity site. Other wise - great site - just should be on some other NET.

Purchased both bikes a few months ago. One is now running, and in quite good condition, but will now be strippd down for a full resto. The other is not quite a rolling basket case, but needs musch more work. The plan is to have a fully restored 'pigeon pa
r'.

Want to restore this bike but need to know where the "vin" (registratio) number is found on bike. BSA was given to me by distant cousin. No title to be found. Trying to trace ownership so I can transfer it to me. First step is to get is registered. Then t
find out if it runs. Wish me luck. Hubby has a 1300cc Harley and loves it. His first love was his 650 BSA that was stolen many years ago. So.....here we go again!

My third BSA, this one is very original, and the best A10 I've ever ridden. I also own a '53 Velo MAC, and in the past have owned many Triumphs, Nortons, a Panther, Many BMWs, Guzzi, etc. Good luck on your page. I enjoy things like the Brit-iron digest

My beezer is my first Brit. (Previously a Guzzi-freak) Have owned it for a year and have yet to run or ride it. Was ex-drag bike with weld-on Triumph hardtail. Sat outside for 7 years with no sparkplugs. Bought another engine over the net (BIG mistake). H
ve replaced everything in it, NOS crank, T-Bolt head, etc, etc. Bike is mostly hand fabricated and all custom. (I have rubbed and rubbed that aluminum.) This is a true bastard--no mfg's slighted--Harley, BSA, Triumph, Honda, Yamaha, even Mopar and more ar
represented on this bike. Would have given up, but was in too deep before I realized it. My wife says that the next time I get the BSA bug it would be better to put all my cash and all the money I can borrow in a pile and burn it. While watching it burn,
I can beat myself on the head with the claws of a hammer. Cheaper and less painful!! Seriously--on the coast of NC--there is nothing available for a BSA owner. No parts locally. No support. No machine work. No BSA's. When I can e-mail an app--I will join,
I'm too busy (lazy) to print and send the form. Glad you are here. Tommy

I have recently fitted a S.R.M. 750 kit to one of my Lightnings - so far so good. It's running pretty sweetly, but has only done about 300 miles
since I fitted the kit. Anyone have any comments
on these kits? Do they last ok, or do they give
problems.Thanks,
Dennis.
