John Provo's 1970 GTO, the hides!
John's had this car since 1979, and retired it from street duty in '83, and it became a full time bracket racer. For the $3500 that he has put into it, he has a killer car with a best ET of 12.62sec at 107 mph! Good job John! Modifications include #722 Ram Air IV heads, Arias 12:1 dome pistons, Crane Firball Hyd. Cam, Hooker 2" headers, Edelbrock Torkker intake, Holley 750 cfm Double Pumper, forged connenting rods, Street/Strip TH-400 w/3000 stall converter, and a 4.56:1 ratio 12 bolt rear-end. John is also working on a Second generation Trans Am to be made up into NHRA class Super Stock. Can't wait to see it John!
