I bought this El Camino while I was working on my '64. I bought it from a guy whose wife didn't like it because of its color. It had spent most of its life as the sole vehicle of a rancher. Him and his wife drove it everywhere. He also would haul salt blocks out to his cattle. Unfortunatly he never cleaned out the bed of the salt residue. When I bought it the body was sagging over the frame and the frame itself was in very poor condition. The powerglide transmission was going on it too. So this El Camino became the donor car for my '64 giving up its 307 and transmission. Then it was off to the salvage yard. Where it still sits(as far as I know). There is still a lot of good body parts. The name of the salvage yard is D&E and is located somewhere in Gregory County, South Dakota.
