My Turn, My Turn!!
It is time for the *Kristi Truth.
She is my baby, so I should know
just what wonderful shape she is in.
So, sit back and Hear My Side.
First of all...she is only driven in the Summertime. That is not 'cause she couldn't truck through these mega snowstorms that we get here in Michigan. Nawww, its 'cause she has such a great Air Conditioner! To cold to drive her in the winter months. Ole Vance says..."Hey *Kristi, that ain't an Air Conditioner..that is Holes in the Floor!" Naww...imagination my friend...air conditioner!
The Air Conditioner worked Great! Well, sometimes too great. You know, like when you are out mud boggin', *cough* I mean, "Sunday Driving" through the umm, not so traveled roads of this fine state. Sometimes the roads sorta just end, and you know you have to get back to the main highway, you kinda sorta umm, well..you know!!! At these times the Air Conditioner sorta tosses some mud up under your feet, but hey, how many cars can you get stuck and just get out...pick it up...move it on over..and vamoose?? To kewl of a car to just sit and let the sun shine upon her..wouldn't ya say??
So anyways, my dear friend sorta mentioned the fact that if I didn't let him redo her floors, I'd end up with my "seat" on the highway. Okay, okay, give her new life. Whoa, the questions I got after leaving her in his care. Such as..."ahh *Kristi, tell me what is that piece of wood doing under the back seat?" Oh, that..hehe, that just holds up the battery. Man, you should have heard him then. Hey..it was a perfectly good strong piece of wood. It was doing a great job back there. Geesh! Its a good thing he never seen the plumbers tape holding the turn signal in place on my 78 impala huh?? Wonder what he'd say about that. Hmmm.
Oh..oh..oh..one thing led to another. My baby now has new seat..(thank you sweetie), new running boards, new floors and possibly a new horn. Mega kewl!! She isn't finished yet, and he claims I won't get her back till she is road safe. Hmm, I always thought she was. I know she is getting the best attention in town! She's pretty safe where she is right now. But look out, if you happen to see a yellow bug buzz by you ... opps, of course I mean..if you should ever happen to pass a yellow bug, doing just a cautious 35 mph, wave at her...it could be my baby.
Thank you Vance...for saving my butt. :)
