On Tuesday the 4th of December racing lost a driver that around the great state of Iowa will never be forgotten. Scott Johnson the driver of the 12J stock car passed away of a apparent major heart attack. Scott raced at the Hancock County speedway on Fridays, Hamilton County speedway on Sat. nights, and the Greene county speedway In Jefferson on Sundays plus has raced at the I.M.C.A. Super Nationals the last 4 years.

Anyone who knew Scott knows how big of a loss this is. Scott was the true definition of what racing is all about. Racing is about having fun, Scott did this. You always knew you were going to be raced hard and clean when you saw the 12j. I personally can't think of anyone I had more fun racing with than Scott. Scott is going to be dearly missed but never forgotten!
