I'm a relatively new Nascar fan, but an old fan of local (Islip) modified and figure- 8 racing. Picked Steve as my favorite because he's a Long Island native, and I like the Pennzoil #1 Monte Carlo... So far, I haven't been disappointed!

At Pocono's June race we stumbled upon Steve signing autographs at his souvenier trailer. We took some photos, and watched Steve chat with fans and sign. We were the last people allowed on the line (the session was over), talked with him about Riverhead
the Modifieds, and of course, his car at Pocono.
We decided to walk the signed die-cast and photos back to the car for safe-keeping, and Steve drove past us in the parking lot - he recognized us and we had a quick laugh.
Steve was excellent with the kids he signed autographs for, very pleasant and accomodating with the adults, and made us proud of our native NY driver.

When I went to the race in Las Vegas this year I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Park, and he was so nice. It wasn't like he was in a hurry and didn't have time to talk to me, he made me feel important. That's what made me decide that I liked Steve, he
was so different than other drivers. I think all drivers should treat their fans as well as Steve does.
