After a 25 year battle to modify Pennsylvania's 35 year old mandatory helmet law, it is finally modified to allow Freedom of Choice in PA.

June 16, 2003:
The PA Senate passes Senate Bill 259 by a vote of 29-20
July 1, 2003:
The PA House passes Senate Bill 259 by a vote of 118-79
WITHOUT AMENDMENTS!!!
DETAILS
- YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE.
Period. No exceptions.
- YOU MUST ALSO:
Have a minimum of two years motorcycle experience.
OR
Have successfully completed (passed) the Motorcycle Safety Course.
And WAIT 60 DAYS after the bill is signed into law.
Protect our future Freedom of Choice. Drive responsibly. Do not give the opposition reason to mandate helmet use again during the next legislative session. They have already stated that is their plan.
