Platelayers at work

The track crew hard at work laying track down on the extension from the brikmobile factory. The track is being extended as far as possible under the viaduct line riser. The roadrailer has been pressed into use as a crane to move the heavy sections of rail

The Platelayers are lucky that the operator of the roadrailer is very good at his job. Since he is so skilled, the amount of manual work has decreased. However, the guys are still forced to swing picks and shovels in the areas that the manoverable roadrailer cannot get to.

Thanks to the company for allowing the photography that they do on company property. It is a good thing that the laws in NLC are much stricter on liability than in the US, where such free access would be banned on the basis of safety to the worker.
