The Metroliner Diesel
This is it. The 10 Cylinder Diesel engine crammed into a lego locomotive. I'd like to see photographs of anyone else who has managed
to get a rotating engine inside a 6 wide loco!
As we go through this, the engine becomes more naked. To see the full engine, I ended up removing one entire side off the loco. The body does
not support any portions of the engine, however the 'generator' (motor) is built into the body to allow room for the oil pump and water pump.

The whole engine is mounted on a 32x6 drop center baseplate, and is 12.3 high. It took 3 rebuildings to get to the current stage of development, and has
sat like it is for the past 2 years. It can have a battery box put into the nose for running, as of right now it is not so fitted. It is not possible to feed it directly off the tracks, because
the motor bogies will not fit under the 32x6 drop center plates.
