i had people emailing me what kind of radio should i use for gas truck racing.so here it is
you should use a fm radio because with the vibrations with the gas motor am has a problem with glithing and fm don't glicth.
crystals
you should at all times have at least three set of crystals with
you.that way if someone is on you freq you can change it and be
able to race.
before you go and get crystals look around see what number freqs
all getting used the most and don't get them.crystals are not cheap 30 buck for fm 15 buck for am but they are worth it in the
long run
always carry spare batterys for your radio to.
