I RUN A DYNAMITE 12PD. IT RUNS DYNAMITE BLUETHUNDER 20% NITRO CONTENT.

HIGH SPEED NEEDLE TUNING

TUNING THE HIGH SPEED NEEDLE. RUN THE CAR AROUND FOR A FEW MINTES. THEN RUN THE CAR AROUND FOR A MINUTE OR TWO. THEN PLACE A DROP OF WATER ON THE CYLINDER HEAD. IF IT SIZZLES AWAY IMMEDIATLELY, IT IS TOO LEAN. IF IT TAKES ABOUT 3-5 SECONDS TO EVAPORATE, THE NEEDLES ARE SET CORRECTLY. IF NOTHING HAPPENS, DRIVE AROUND FOR A MIN OR TWO, THEN CHECK THE CYLINDER HEAD AGAIN. IF STILL NOTHING HAPPENS, TURN THE HIGH SPEED NEEDLE CLOCKWISE 3 CLICKS (MAKE IT LEANER) AND RUN THE ENGINE AGIAN. CONTINUE WITH THIS PROCEDURE UNTIL THE HIGH SPEED NEEDLE IS SET CORRECTLY {WATER EVAPORATES IN 3-5 SECONDS).


LOW SPEED NEEDLE

IT IS BEST TO TUNE THE LOW SPEED NEEDLE AFTER SETTING THE HIGH SPEED NEEDLE. WHEN YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THE PROPER OPERATING TEMPERATURE, IDLE THE ENGINE AND PINCH THE FUEL HOSE AT THE FUEL INLET OF THE CARBURETOR. IF THE ENGINE DIES IMMEDIATELY, THE LOW END SETTING IS TO LEAN. WHEN YOU PINCH THE FUEL LINE, THE ENGINE RPM'S SHOULD INCREASE FOR 3-5 SECONDS, THEN DIE. TO ACHIEVE THIS CORRECT SETTING, ALWAYS ADJUST THE NEEDLE ONLY A FEW CLICKS AT A TIME, THEN RUN YOUR VEHICLE TO ALLOW CHANGES IN THE SETTINGS TO COME INTO EFFECT.

AFTER YOU HAVE ATTAINED THE CORRECT NEEDLE SETTING, THE ENGINE WILL HAVE A STRONG-SOUNDING, HIGH-PITCHED WHINE AT FULL SPEED, AND THERE WILL BE A THIN TRAIL OF WHITE-ISH SMOKE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST.

THE LAST SETTING ON THE ENGINE IS THE IDLE SCREW. TO OBTAIN A HIGHER IDLE, TURN THE SCREW CLOCKWISE; FOR LOWER IDLE, TURN THE SCREW COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
THIS SCREW SHOULDN'T AFFECT AIR-FUEL MIXTURES.

NEVER RUN YOUR ENGINE MORE THAN 90% OF ITS TOTAL PERFORMANCE, ALWAYS RUN IT SLIGHTLY RICH.

OR SAVE YOUR SELF THE TROUBLE AND TAKE IT TO MY UNCLES HOUSE AND LET HIM TUNE IT. :)

I HAD A FEW PEOPLE EMAIL ME ABOUT BOOST BOTTLES. WHAT A BOOST BOTTLE DOES IS IT GETS RID OF LOW END BOG. U KNOW WHEN U HIT THE THROTTLE AND U GET THAT BOG? IT GETS RID OF THAT .THE BEST ONE TO BuY IS THE OFNA ONE .SOMEONE MAKES A CARBON FIBER ONE TO I HEAR.


THE MOTOR I IM RUNNIN IN MY TRUCK NOW IS A OS CV.12 . I USE A DYAMITE PD PISTON AND SLEEVE IN IT AND A PD CONN ROD.THEY FIT RIGHT IN THE MOTOR WITH NO PROBLEMS.AND I THINK THERE A LITTLE FASTER THAN A STOCK OS.
