Here's what happens when you rear-end a Ford Ranger in a BMW 325is. |

A decent shot of the damage his trailer hitch did. Also note the upper mount for the headlights, and the direction the high beam is aimed (the beam on the right, as you are looking at it). |

All of the damage happened above my bumper and below my hood. You can see how the hood isn't aligned now, but the hood actually doesn't have a scratch on it, thank God. The hood is hinged in the front (it clamshells open) and the crossmember that the hinge is mounted to in the front was forced back, just barely, by the blow. |

Look on the fender and you'll see the dent near the top. We colided at a very slight angle, so the driver's side fender was OK. Both of the passenger side headlights were broken, but the driver side lights were unscathed. You can't see it in this pic (you can see it in the top pic), but the headlight mounting buckets on both sides are bent in the middle, so that the headlights on each side are "cross-eyed". The impact forced the headlights back some, but it also forced the crossmember that the center mount for the headlights is attached to backwards |

This is from a seperate incident that happened about a month earlier. It's not real noticable in the pic, but the bumper trim is scuffed, as is the paint between the bumper trim and the headlight. You can easily see the busted tail light, however. |
