This little paragraph was compiled from two posts on the BEN messageboard, and edited by me, but the real credit must go to the authors: Tim Thurber, and an unknown Bimmer-phile.
Things I love about my car:
I love the fact that no other car I've driven has steering like mine. The steering is twitchy... in a fun way. I love the fact that no matter what kind of turn I take, the body barely even thinks about leaning. I love the kind of eccentric whine my engine makes whenever it is running, which only gets better with more RPMs... the sound of the engine; it sounds like no other except that Porsche down the street. No other car gives me the feeling I get when I'm driving my Bimmer...
I love the way guys think it's cool and girls think it's cute. I love the fact that adults look at me like they can't believe I'm getting into a BMW. I love the look on people's faces when I tell them it's 13 years old and then hearing them repeat what I just said in the form of a question. I love the way that 99% of the people that get in my car ask what that little thing is under the tachometer and them stare at it for a minute as I make it go up and down and then they say it's cool. I love the way the sub vibrates my brake pedal. The way it looks when it's parked alone... when it sits by itself with the wheels cocked at an angle, it looks like it will eat you alive. I'm glad I have this car, and I can still say that even after all the painful, exhausting hours I have put into it, and the fact that I am broke because of it, I still love it. And sure, maybe someday I'll get an E46 or E39, but I don't know if I could ever sell my E30. Either way, the days of owning the E30 will always be remembered with a smile.
