Farmer dies after crashing into boar

KLUANG -- A 76-year-old farmer died after crashing into a wild boar with his motorcycle on Monday.

Police said Mr Wong Lean was with his son, Mr Ng Kui Wah, while on their way to a nearby oil palm estate when the incident occurred at 7am.

The wild boar suddenly appeared from some bushes on the roadside and darted across the road in front of the motorcycle, according to The Sun.

"Wong could not brake in time," a police spokesman said.

He suffered serious head injuries while his son escaped with slight injuries.

The beast died on the spot.

Both victims were taken to Kluang Hospital by passers-by but Mr Wong died on arrival.

Yikes... talk about chucking your bacon into the fire! Here... pig, pig, pig, pig...

Think of this incident the next time you are riding through Malaysia along the country roads... you never know what is going to rush out at you!

Remain alert, be aware of the road condition (sand, oil, darkness, etc), observe posted speed limits, rest if you're tired (danger of inattention), wear protective gear (in case you fall), and take is easy on the accelerator (I know the pull of your engine is nice to experience, but...)

Also, make sure you wear your helmet properly!

Remember - it ain't a race... it's best for you and your bike to just to get there in one piece, alive and unscathed.
