  Historic Suzuki - VX800

This page was last updated on 11 Jan 2004

Another shaft drive bike, the VX800 is a cousin of the GSX1100G.

Because of the obvious similarities in styling/bodywork (it is just as top-heavy), from a distance, one could mistake a VX for a G.... it certainly demands a second look!

Its evolution is from the Intruder's V-engine (whereas G was based on the Katana's in-line fours). The visibly obvious differences to differentiate the VX from the G are:

  • V-twin instead of an in-line four
  • twin shocks instead of a single mono shock
  • large radiator (based on the Intruder)

The 805cc engine puts out 57ps/6,500 rpm of max power and 7.0kg-m/4,500 rpm of max torque.

Like the G, the VX also has its own loyal following:
