Velo
sans moteur Page created 24 Jul 1999 The first horse power...
I used to actively ride bicycles (1 man power). There used to be a time when I rode my bicycle to work instead of my motorcycle, riding a good 40 km to, and another 40 km back. Here are some pictures of my other engineless steeds... enjoy!
My First Bicycle
This bike eventually died a dreadful death from abuse... it is not meant for cross country use, and I eventually killed the bottom bracket. During its lifetime, the bottom crank had to be replaced twice and its rear hub once.
My Mountain Bike... a later acquisition
After I killed my first bike, I realised the need to have a mountain bike, because of my frequent adventures cross-country. However, I couldn't do without a racing bike because of the long distances travelling to work (yup, I got yet another racing frame later). So I ended up with a mountain bike, and a new problem of how to store the two bikes with the same floor space... hanging it up became the best solution.
