***** Peugeot 205 *****

About the Car

The base model is a Peugeot 205 XS, which is a 80 bhp compact car with carbs. Even though the car has not gone through heavy modifications, light mods were done essential for "Real" racing. Here's a list of what's been done.

- Sachs suspension

Since the 205 is a front engined, front wheel drive car, race performance shocks and springs were needed to kill understeer. These shocks solved the problem nicely. Although kick-ass performance can be achieved on the track, the rough ride really feels like your getting kicked in the ass every time you go over a pot-hole in daily traffic.

- Order made canister

The new muffler lets the engine breathe better, and the beefy dark howl is also cool. The only problem is that it gets too loud to tolerate, once you cruise on the highway, especially for the people in the back.

- Roll bars

The bird cage type roll bars are eye catchers on the street, but the real necessity comes when racing on the track. You'll give thanx to god when you dump the car.

- Ip. Bucket driver's seat

Necessity for racing, good also for daily use.

I and F Meeting (at Tsukuba Circuit)

Team R participated in the I and F Meeting (I and F stands for "Italian" and "French") at Tsukuba Circuit. Cars such as Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Renault, Peugeot, and Citroen joined the race. I accidentally forgot to bring batteries for my digital camera, so I couldn't take pictures as I wanted to. The pictures below are snap shots taken by instant cameras.

French and Italian Riding Party (at Nasu Motorsport Land)

This time I managed to bring my digital camera with batteries. Most of the Peugeot participants are 205s as usual. Nasu Motorsport Land's circuit is only about 1km long, which compared to Tsukuba circuit, is short.

- A gorgeous day at the circuit

- Taking a quick break?

- Getting ready to Rock n Roll!

- Peugeot at the back stretch

- Izu at the driver's seat

- Hiropi at the driver's seat

- Hiropi at the curve
