[The Engine]

The model originally had a Ducati 400cc engine which generated about 48hp with normal carbs. The 400cc engine was fun when riding at high rpms, but a whimp below 5000rpm.

After about 10000km of riding, I replased it with a 540cc engine (a 400cc engine with a big bore kit) and Kehin FCR carbs with funnels. This mod made the DB2 into a well balanced motorcycle, with respectable torque and a blast at the top. It probably made around 58hp. Easily went 200km/h, even though mine was low geared. A lot faster than old Japanese 750cc bikes like the Honda CB750F.

Now I have a 900cc 6-speed Ducati engine brought from a 900ss. It has;
Keihin FCR Carbs.
Nology Hot Wires
Riding House Clutch Springs
Carbon Fibre Clutch Cover
Barnet Cluch Plates
Vee Two Aluminum Clutch Basket
STM Billet Breather Tower

With the same gear ratio as in a Ducati 900ss, the DB2's top speed is now goes 240km/h. With good power from low rpms, the 900cc engine is very useful even in traffic. FCR carbs. are a easy but effective way to gain power.Combined with free breathing exhausts, you won't believe it's the same engine!
