[Fairing]
The original fairing of the db2 has a single piece design for each part; the front, side, and lower fairing makes one, and the tank, seat faring makes the other.
FRP is the material chosen, hand crafted by engineers at Bimota. The monocoque design enhances the smooth designed bodywork, but for the motocycle shop, it'll just be a disaster! For example, if you want to cleanly take off the front section, you'll need to take the front wheel off.
The new fairing is made of Carbon Fibre, so it's quite lighter than the original. It also has a two piece design for the front section, using quick release fasteners for easy maintenace.
Since the faring was for race use, heavy modifications were needed. As you can see from the pictures, it's modified to fit the original tank cap, after market winker lights, tail light, and one-off number plate brackets.
