The M250 was launched to a British public at the 1999 London Motorshow.

The company hasn't said yet whether this new model will be put into production, but they would be rather foolish not to.

The M250 would slot in between the Elise and the Esprit to give Lotus a three car model range.
The unashamed target for the M250 would be to steal sales from the Porsche Boxster, and on looks alone, the car from Hethel certainly has the Stuttgart machine beaten.
