Team Lotus drivers for 1960 were Innes Ireland, Jim Clark and Alan Stacey.

Ireland started his season well with a solid 6th place in the Argentinean GP.
By the time of the second race of the season in Monaco, Stirling Moss was driving a Lotus 18 bought by Rob Walker.
This proved an inspired choice as Moss won the Monaco Grand Prix from pole, the first Formula One win for a Lotus car (even if it wasnt a Team Lotus car).

The high turned to tragedy when Alan Stacey was killed in practice for the Belgian round.
Jim Clark upheld Team Lotus honour with 5th place, while Ireland set the fastest lap.
Clark also finished 5th in the French Grand Prix.

The British round was next. Colin Chapman recruited Motor Cycle World Champion John Surtees.
A Lotus didnt win, but 2nd for Surtees and 3rd for Ireland was Team Lotus best finish at that point.

Clark scored his first podium with 3rd place in the Portuguese Grand Prix, Ireland also finished 6th.

No Lotus cars were entered for the Italian Grand Prix, but the final round of the 1960 World Championship saw Moss take an impressive win from another Pole Position, with Ireland second.
The best possible finish for any Lotus fan.

Moss and Ireland finished 3rd and 4th in the Drivers Championship, while Lotus claimed 2nd place in the Constructors Championship. 8 points more than Ferrari.

18s continued to be raced in 1961, but Team Lotus had switched to the 21.

Moss in a Rob Walker Lotus 18 won his second consecutive Monaco Grand Prix and added the German Grand Prix to his tally later in the season.
Making 4 victories for the Lotus 18.
