Bonehead's Revenge
This van was bought new in January of 1975 as a basic E-100 with a 351
Windsor motor. Over
the years I made it a full custom with three piece side door, a rear
hatch with no back doors, and big electric sunroof. Then when it was about
15 years old the body started rotting (don't they all) and I fixed it up
and added a few more changes that lasted till 1994. Rather than fix the
rot I went with a 1990 body from the windshield back and went back to a
stock body style. In 1997 I
merged it with a box ambulance and ended up with a 1 ton, dually, 460
powered, 6 speed towing machine. Here is a picture as the truck sits today,
winner of the 1999 NATS Best Suspension Award.
