Este adesivo foi enviado, em 23APR1999, por Vlasta Hojan, presidente do "VW HROSC KLUB SLOVENIJA" da cidade de Lubliana, na Eslov�nia. Ele escreveu o seguinte:
Estou enviando um caso especial para a pesquisa o Fusca e a Arte Popular. Uma de nossas maiores companias de petr�leo, a PETROL, usou o Fusca para fins de propaganda. Mas como voc� pode ver, ele fizeram um �rro, pois "antifriz" � anticongelante para o rediador dos carros refrigerados a �gua, o que definitivamente n�o � o caso do Fusca!

Em todo o caso � bom. Talvez eles escolheram o Fusca por ser t�o encantador.

A tradu��o do adesivo, feita por Misko Zolnir - Webmaster do Clube, � a seguinte:

Pazite, zima prihaja! quer dizer: Aten��o, o inverno est� chegando!
Mraz unicuje, petrol antifriz varuje quer dizer: O inverno destroi, o anticongelante da PETROL protege

Com esta tradu��o fica clara a "mancada" que o pessoal de propaganda da PETROL deu, mas, para n�s, at� que foi interessante poder conferir mais este uso da imagem do querido Fusca.

This sticker was sent, on 23APR1999, by Vlasta Hojan, president of the "VW HROSC KLUB SLOVENIJA", from the city of Ljubljana - Slovenia. He wrote the following:
I am sending to you a special case for the survey "The VW Beetle and the Popular Art". One of our biggest petroleum companies, called PETROL, used a VW Beetle for advertisement purposes. As you will see they made a mistake by using an "air-cooled" car as a model to advertize for their antifreeze water cooler aditive.

Anyway, it is good. Probably they have choosen the VW Beetle because it is so lovely.

The sticker's translation, made by Misko Zolnir - the Webmaster of the Club, is as follows:

Pazite, zima prihaja! that stands for: Watch, winter is coming!
Mraz unicuje, petrol antifriz varuje that stands for: Winter is destroying, PETROL antifreeze is protecting.

With this translation the mistake made by the PETROL's advertisement peronnel becomes clear; but for us it was interesting to see more one use of the beloved VW Beetle's image.
