EDDYVILLE RACEWAY OUTING
SEPTEMBER 28TH 2001

Our outing to Eddyville Dragway on the 28th of September went pretty well despite some problems to and from the track.  Those who were able to make it were Eric and Amy Wolfe, Charles Gerst, Bob & Lori Jordan, Ernie & Barb Bruster, Mike Crees, Rob Graham and his girlfriend Heidi Lumbard, Mike Biondi, and Mike McGillis.

A lot of us met up on the South side of Des Moines and cruised down to Eddyville after work (some of us played hookie) and the rest met us at the track when they could.

Charles Gerst had fuel and battery trouble on the way down but was able to get to the track in time to get some runs in.

Getting there early is everything.  We were able to get right to the fun early making a number of passes before it even got dark.  This was the best time since we were able to match race each other.  Later it got busy and we seldom were able to go up against each other.  Instead we were put up against true racers and dragsters but we still had a great time.

That's all the photos that got scanned so far.  Hey if you took more let Mike McGillis scan em so they can get put up.  We got video but we have not seen any of it.  Maybe at the next club meeting.
