This is my W-9

This is my W9. it is a 1945 model. It is quite a horse compared to the other two Wheatlands.
This one puts out about 70 horsepower. It has a 350 cubic inch engine.
This one was purchased on an auction that was about 15 miles from home.
It was in fairly good shape. It ran good. The engine was rebuilt and
ran on propane as a power unit for an irrigation engnine. It has Hardened
Pistons and valves so it can run on propane. We drove it home from the sale.
Since the W-9 has an engine of its own, it is hard to find parts for. The
starter went bad soon after we had it. We had to rob parts off a td-9 that
the neighbor had junked out. That is about all we could use off of it.
This tractor is quite a pulling tractor. With 16.9-34 tires on it, and me
with out extra ballast, it weighs about 6200 lbs. I can add some extra
weight to the rearend. With the big cast iron frame, I haven't had to worry
about bringing the front end off the ground. I have fun with this one out-
pulling them green boys with their G's.
